Antibes — Ramparts, yachts and the Picasso Riviera

Antibes — Ramparts, yachts and the Picasso Riviera

Old-town ramparts above the Mediterranean, Europe's largest yacht harbour and the Picasso Museum.

About this destination

Antibes is a Greek-founded city set between Nice and Cannes, famed for the ochre ramparts of its Vieil Antibes, the Provençal market on Cours Masséna and the Château Grimaldi — today the Picasso Museum, where the artist lived and worked in 1946. Port Vauban, just below the old town, is the largest yacht harbour in Europe and hosts the most spectacular superyachts of the Riviera. A few minutes' walk south begins Cap d'Antibes, with its pine forests, coastal path and the legendary Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc.

Best time to visit

May to September for sea and sailing; June for the Jazz à Juan-les-Pins festival next door.

Why a private transfer

Old-town streets are pedestrian and parking around Port Vauban is scarce. We drop you at your hotel, villa or yacht with a fixed-price transfer from Nice Airport.
