Monaco — Riviera principality

Monaco — Riviera principality

The cliffside principality of yachts, palaces and the world's most famous casino.

About this destination

Monaco is the world's second-smallest country, set on a dramatic Mediterranean cliff between Nice and the Italian border. Despite its size it concentrates an extraordinary density of attractions — the Prince's Palace and old town of Monaco-Ville, the Oceanographic Museum founded by Prince Albert I, the Belle Époque Casino de Monte-Carlo and the celebrated Hôtel de Paris. Each May the Formula 1 Grand Prix transforms the streets into a racetrack, while year-round the principality offers shopping, fine dining and one of Europe's most exclusive harbours.

Best time to visit

April–June and September for mild weather and major events: Grand Prix in late May, Yacht Show in September.

Why a private transfer

Monaco is small, hilly and almost car-free for visitors — a private chauffeur drops you directly at your hotel, casino or yacht and avoids the tunnel traffic from Nice.
