Saint-Tropez — Provençal jewel of the Riviera
Pastel old port, Pampelonne beach and timeless Riviera glamour.
About this destination
Saint-Tropez began as a Provençal fishing village and rose to global fame in the 1950s. Its old port still lines the quay with pastel houses, sailing yachts and pavement cafés, while the citadel above offers panoramic views over the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. A few minutes south stretches the legendary Pampelonne Beach — five kilometres of fine sand with beach clubs from Club 55 to Nikki Beach. The surrounding peninsula is dotted with vineyards producing some of Provence's finest rosé and hilltop villages like Ramatuelle and Gassin.
Best time to visit
May–June and September for warm weather without midsummer crowds; July–August are peak yacht and party season.
Why a private transfer
Saint-Tropez has no airport and notorious summer traffic on the single coastal road. A private transfer from Nice or Toulon, or a chauffeur for the day, is the only stress-free way to reach the village, your beach club or a vineyard tour.
